We are passionate about sending every guest home with happy tails. By giving exceptional service and care, and employing dedicated and knowledgeable staff, we promise that the safety, comfort, and emotional and physical well-being of your pet come first.

Meet our staff
Augusta Farley CKO began Best Friends Pet Resort in Santa Fe, NM in 1980 as a boarding and training facility. She moved the business to Patterson, California in 2000 growing it to our present 6200 square foot all indoor new climate-controlled facilty serving discriminating families who want the best for their furry family members. Augusta also breeds, trains and competes in sporting events with Belgian Malinois under the banner, Du Ciel Rouge. She is owned by a herd of Malinois.

Colleen Hiti CPCT has competently and lovingly cared for our guests since 2006. She wears many hats as our all-around guest attendant, receptionist and graphic designer. Currently she is owned by Boger, a rambunctious Husky mix, and a college-aged son and daughter.

Kathy Young CPCT, our groomer, has been grooming for us for three years and before that she was our first employee in California. She is kind and careful with your pet while giving them a comfortable experience and stylish look. She is a member of NDGAA. She shares her home with dogs: Chula and Buck; cats: Nino, Chandler, and Rex: horse: Sierra, and her daughter, Brooke.

FROM I-5 (LOS ANGELES and BAY AREA)( I am 6 miles from I-5):
Take I-5 north from LA or south from Bay Area and Sacramento to the Patterson/Sperry Avenue Exit
Go east off the exit ramp onto Sperry Avenue/J17
Go left onto Ward Avenue(McDonald=s on the corner)
Go right onto Ivy Avenue
Ivy turns into Olive Avenue when you cross SR 33. 
I am 2.6 miles down Olive Avenue on the left. There is a sign.

FROM MODESTO, TURLOCK AND 99
From Modesto go south on 99, Carpenter or Crows Landing to West Main
From Turlock go west on West Main toward Patterson
Cross the bridge over the San Joaquin River
Take second right onto Poplar Avenue
Go to the end (2 blocks)
Go right onto Olive Avenue
Take first driveway on the left. There is a sign.

FROM NEWMAN
Go north on SR 33
Go through the signal light in Patterson.
Go about 1 mile
Turn right on Olive Avenue
I am 2.6 miles down Olive Avenue on the left. There is a sign.

World: Member PCSA. We have been proud members since 1986. PSCA, formerly ABKA, is the only non profit organization that governs accreditation, certification and standardization for the animal care industry.

Member APDT. This is the premier pet dog owner education and training organization with members from around the world. It advocates reward based training and devotes itself to training trainers to teach owners using gentle methods.

Contributor. Morris Foundation, Inc. funds cutting edge health research on domestic and wild animals. We send the Foundation’s sympathy cards to our customers who have lost a beloved pet.

National: Members of national sport dog training and breed specific organizations: USMRA, USA, NARA, AWMA

Local: Stanislaus County Animal Services and the Turlock Animal Shelter with donations and service. Augusta serves on the Stanislaus County Animal Shelter Animal Advisory Board, is a member of the team designing the new shelter and teaches a monthly class at the Stanislaus County Shelter.

Fall Family Festival. Best Friends Pet Resort joins the City of Patterson in celebrating with our community with dog games, education and demonstrations.

Relay for Life/Patterson: In April 2008 we sponsored a week of 50% off all grooming with the proceeds going to Relay for Life/Patterson. We had a fantastic turnout!
